Make sure you really want them. You will lose ground clearence. It will be loud. It will resonate in the car. Just some things to think about. Im getting rid of mine for this reason. It sounds damn good and the compliments never stop, but it gets hard to hear the radio and its gets annoying scraping them all the time

TTP was doing a kit with Kooks, but it was ~$1200 and. Lanes does them also, but I dont know the price. It will be cheaper to have it done custom and locally. I was the one who found Kevin at North Tampa Custom and started sending people there (actually my dad found him and sent me there and it started from there) and he did an awesome job on my setup, but Ive seen him do some whacked shit lately and dont know if Id go back

I believe people do it more for sound. The word is there isnt much difference in peak HP, but some say the curve changes. No proof yet though.

my true duals have never scraped! not even with a passenger going over a speed bump.

Kevin told me that he does a lot of things differnt when he did my duals then when he first start doing them!

I'll never understand why people pay over 800 for a catback when u can get true duals for much less $$$. u can't beat the power/flow increase and can't even come close to the sound!

Honestly, I don't know how much my opinion is worth, but just get a cutout.

BMR now makes a kit that relocates the panhard rod below the rear axle. This allows the clearance to run 3" true duals all the way to the back bumper. That will keep the resonace down inside the car and make it more liveable. You can get an Xpipe kit from Summit Racing equipment for $99 and the slip fit flanges you need to do a bolt up or you can take it to Kevin and he can weld it up nice for you. Kevin did my Dynomouth and Ypipe modifications so I know he does good work.

Do you have actual mufflers or bullets? Bullets are no problem since they arent much bigger than the pipe. Al and myself have real mufflers. When he done my duals, he spent almost 6 hrs on them and made sure they were perfect. Ive seen some of his other work lately and it was shit. He completely fucked up my GFs catback. He welded EVERYTHING so you cant remove it and then he sawzalled the I pipe inhalf

Whos paying $800 for a catback? I can get the Hooker for ~$260 and its the best flowing one on the market. It only lost 3 RWHP over a open cutout

What about the upper panhard rod support? Thats a problem also. My dad had 2.5s all the way out the back, but he had to put rubber on the upper support.

Ask JuissedSS262 for a few pics of his old dual setup from Kevin

If you want perfection and a DAMN nice setup, look at Brandons work. Al and Dan both have his exhaust!
