Lexan windows on a DD
home depot or lowes, lols.
i wouldnt say its not worth it, let me rephrase that. its only worth it if youre really struggling to get the very last bit of weight off your car. id do simple stuff like a/c, smog, ps, pw, and sound damp. material first, then interior shit. after that if you still really need to shave a few more pounds, do lexan.
idk how it is in your car, but my rear three windows hardly weigh anything as it is...

I think thats unhealthy cause even the back windows have to weigh atleast 3lbs. If you take a 3lb+ shit, thats pretty crazy lmao Nigga you breakin porclein
So I dont know if anyone mentioned it or not but that shit melts and distorts out in the florida sun. We watched it happen to slow boy's drag car during our dyno day in the spring.
there has to be different "grades" of lexan because there are some office buildings around here that have lexan windows and have had them for years and years with no discoloration or melting issues. I know cuz my office building has them.
And while they are easier to scratch than glass, they aren't going to scratch all up just because of some "road dirt" the yard crew people fling all kinds of crap against the windows as they mow and edge and the only two scratches are where the actual weedeater string hit the window.
So just getting some plastic from home depot and trying to make a window out of that isn't a good idea. But getting the quality stuff, and installing it properly, you shouldn't have any problems.
