Default Lexan windows on a DD

I have always been interested in lexan windows. The weight savings VS glass is a huge difference and they are much stronger (not like I am flexxing chassis or having parts fly up to break the glass. But what are the pros and cons? I always thought the reason lexan is not used is because it scratches easy? I want to use lexan using regular mounting points for power windows and sunroof if I can, I do not want it to be riveted in and never move for the front 2 windows and sunroof.

yeah getting lexan windows in your daily civic to run high 13's instead of 14's is retarded.

I know "a lot" of people will use lexan in their hatches and the little rear windows on 300zx's and what not to try and reduce the weight, but as far as I knew, you can't use it for the door windows if you want it to still go up and down. It scratches really easy, and i was always told that it flexes too much to only be supported on the bottom and kind of on the sides, that it will bind up on the tracks and it will never seal tightly against the weather stripping.
The only way to use it is to glue it all the way around. So I'm told.
and as far as I know, it is only illegal to use as a windshield. everywhere else is fair game.

I love the TR comments lmao. In some sanctioned racing for you goons it is necessary to have a sunroof replaced with either a net, lexan, or a metal cover. Also weight up high changes handling a lot more than weight removed down low. I know its illegal, but so are 90% of the cars on TR lol. I was doing some research and a lot of people said lose 20lbs working out, easy to say if your fat, but not when you would have to go anorexic to get to that lol.

why replace glass with lexan when you can just run with no windows at all, ultimate weight saving and get a good breeze when your driving
