pontiacs SD4 300hp out of a 3.0L n/a from 1980, didn't make it into production cars, but its based off a iron duke with better casting.

let me re-phrase that. what is your favorite 4 cylinder engine?
There's a substantial lack of worthy engines in the last poll, so to set the record straight, I present you the re-polling for the best 4 cylinder engine.
I'll try to make this as fair and simple as possible, If a manufacturer has multiple renowned engines, I'm going to bulk them. I think this will make for a more accurate poll. I'm only going to post engines that are widely available in the US in which are commonly modified.
the poll only allows for 10 options so im going to add only the more commonly used engines.
to make even more room I'll group manufactures that have co-designed the bulk of their engines or have very similar engines, (Volvo and Ford 2.3.)
therefor, Saturn LLO will be grouped with Chevy engines, dodge will be grouped with Mitsubishi, Volvo will group with Ford because of the similarities between their 2.3T's, Mazda will group with Ford, Hyundai Theta (Gen coupe) will group with the Mitsubishi 4B11 look it up, Isuzu 4XE-1 will group with the Toyota 4AG, look it up. sadly the Suzuki 1.3L and Saab engines wont make the cut. Cosworth engines are only Variations of existing engines from Benz, Ford and Chevy so they're listed in that manner.

You have to admit for the range of motors listed no doubt Honda comes out on top. The 4G63 minus the crank walking ones is a damn good motor but then add in the 420A to the lineup and they arent so consistant. You have great and shit. Honda on the other hand has a pretty solid line up of overall good.
