i did it for about a week when i had my crx...i had a old beat up cf hood and it flew off when i was driving down ccc and i left it there lol...i drove everywhere with no hood cops saw me and never messed with me...

 

id say its legal in anything that isnt a import only because they get targeted for everything. its illegal for no doors either, unless they were made removable from the factory.

Ive driven around for a couple weeks with no front bumper rear bumper, side skirts, or front passenger fender.

No cops bothered me and it was sure a lot more obvious than no hood. You should be fine if you dont rice around.

Its kinda neat to drive around with the hood off. I did it once when mine wasnt latched and fucked the windshield. Watching the throttle, BOV actuate if its facing you, etc is cool. Just a "try it once out of curiosity" is all its good for though.

 

And actually driving without a fender IS illegal as there is a maximum distance your tires can extend past some sort of fender..hence the need for flares on "mud trucks"
