Is there such thing as a FWD Sports Car?
They are not designed to soley stick out in a crowd.. function before form.. Those smooth lines help the cars performance while its "sporting" around town
.. they might look nicer than the average car.. but then again we are able to achieve such small attractive packages because they aren't going to be used for anything other than driving with spirit.. no need for extra room.
Please don't tell me that you got rid of the supra just becasue its not technically considered a sports car. That my friend, is just plain dumb.
Don't take it the wrong way, i would just be in shock that you're so stuck on having a sports car you would get rid of something you love just because it isnt one.

It's still one of my favorite cars, but I have a hard time seeing one as anything but a nice cruiser now. I test drove an RX7 (as well as an NSX), and the distinction was clearer. Sports cars are something different, and the purest ones really clarify this. Also, for kicks, I test drove an ITR. Great little FF, but it's still a hopped-up Civic, quite literally, and that is going to show when it's stacked up against a pure bred sports car.
Not the label that got to me, but I felt the difference. It's really leaning on the line between sports car and GT. It carries its weight very well, and a lot of work went into performance, but it wasn't pure enough for me. The weight was the main factor, but the steering is "distinctively Camry," the back seats were never going to be used, the leather is unnecessary, and I just didn't want the compromise in weight and rigidity that the targa brought, not to mention the MacPherson strut setup just left that feeling in me that it wasn't as good as it could have been.

now i understand what you meant. youre going after performance not comfort. if i didnt have a son, i would too. Supras are bad ass cars though. i prefer the RX7 tbh, but cant do lol until he gets older and can ride in the front seat ahah.

I know this, but that would apply if I had coverage on my car.
I don't have coverage on my car, just liabilty. My insurance went down because (The agent said) The z3 has features that make it safer to drive then my civic.
I consider my car a sportcar, 2 seats, 2 door, manual, rwd. And the 4door civic was obvisouly not, but the insurance went down, so just saying, just cause you drive a 2 door car doesnt mean its a sports car
Anyway, who cares if your civic or other FWD isnt sportcar, being a sportscar, doesnt mean your fast, its just a classification.

I have been enjoying smoking sports cars in my ff economy cars for 12 years now. I get bored when i drive most sports cars, They are too slow. The handling and brakes are nice, but in the end i just like to accelerate.
