So what if FWD eco cars can beat some sport cars in a straight line. Wow.

There are SUVs that can beat FWD ECO Cars, and Sport Cars in a straight line, should we race SUVs.

The point, and idea of Sportcars isnt to drive everywhere you go, honestly I dont think most sport cars are fun to drive in the city, but on a track, or nice road, mountain trail, they are amazing, FWD ECO cars where made to drive in straight lines from light to light, good acceleration, but still get good gas milage, there good at what they were ment for.

Thanks for the clairvoyance and analysis on my driving habits! You should try thinking outside of the box when it comes to cars. Maybe it is just me, but i prefer the way my FF civic drives and I prefer it to the many 911 GT3's,911 Turbo's,Z06's,M3's,and the solo Esprit Turbo I have driven and even owned (for the m3). Yeah I agree that they look great. But ill take a 39 mpg economy car that can be driven like your mother's Camry everyday and still manage to lay waste and embarrass the owners of basically every sports car ever sold here in this country. I also appreciate the lesson on what a sports car is. Unfortunately you are just wasting you breath. Sports cars don't really do much for me. They seem over priced, boring, and not much fun. But like I said, I just like to accelerate.

You must not know much about me

Think outside the box when it comes to cars. I drive a Z3.

But you have some good reasons, so its what makes you happy. But honestly this thread is pointless lol. But, the best set up for me would be!

FWD Eco car for DD, RWD Sports car for weekends, and AWD or RWD boosted something for racing. No car class is better then the other, they all have the usefullness.

One day.

Were all like cars, thats what matters

I don't have coverage on my car, just liabilty. My insurance went down because (The agent said) The z3 has features that make it safer to drive then my civic.

I consider my car a sportcar, 2 seats, 2 door, manual, rwd. And the 4door civic was obvisouly not, but the insurance went down, so just saying, just cause you drive a 2 door car doesnt mean its a sports car

Anyway, who cares if your civic or other FWD isnt sportcar, being a sportscar, doesnt mean your fast, its just a classification.
This is off topic, but it makes no sense to me why you would upgrade from a civic to a BMW Roadster and only carry liability insurance. If you can't afford good insurance you should not be buying nicer cars. In your defense, an old Z3 roadster is not a huge upgrade, but still! The only people I would expect to have just liability are people with beat to shit cars that barely work. I am picturing a early 80's large GM with a blown rear suspension, coat hanger antenna, and missing parts.

I see what you mean, but in my defense as well, Its just a 97 Z3.

If I had an 08 Z4 M Coupe, then I would be scared to not have full coverage.

Edit: Readng your statment again, I gotta say your right, but stll its only a 97 rwd for banger.

Oh and just to add, I see a lot of people talking about the Porsche 911. It is often used in the argument: If sports cars are only rwd, where does that leave the awd Porsche 911's (911 turbo, Carrera 4, Carrera 4s). Well, a Porsche 911 is actually classified as a grand touring car.
