there are good turbo kits for them out there, including the mazdaspeed set up, but the drivetrain is what kills it, you cant boost the miata to much with the stock rear diff. i dont mind the short ass gears, its fun to drive, but kills me on the high way

Oh yeah, and it needs lots of chassis stiffening and low profile tires for the best response. I had 205/40s and that performed extremely well.

its getting there,lol
even my two roommates own miata's and go doriftoing at night sometimes. So I would say its definately getting there. Plus i've just seen way to many Miata's at events and stuffs lately.

only thing a miata and 240 have alike is there rwd, 5spd, 4 bangers, thats ALL!
in a circuit track im sure a miata would destroy a 240, stock for stock.
but i hope miatas dont become a fad like 240s and civics...
