why is everyone so pissy about this.. lol

If your going 100 in a 50MPH zone you should go to jail, not just have a 1000.00 to pay.

Yes and No... ill explain

the actual fine for the dui is either 702 or 902 dollars depending on the level of alcohol in your system.(anyhting over .2 is 902 dollars)

Then you have all the other costs that come with a dui that make it more. Like DUI School, probation, couseling, and so on.

good to hear. next they need to crack down on DUI stuff. apparently, it isn't that harsh if half the people are getting off with "reckless", and the other half don't seem to mind paying since i know many people who have gotten one.

im kinda with you on this even though i have a dui. But i think it should be broken down between those that just get pulled over and are drunk, those that cause an accident, and those that kill another person. Right now all three are grouped into 1 category. And then on top of this i think it should be broken down in further groups depending on how intoxicated someone is.

Right now as it is the person that blows a .08 and does not cause an accident has to go through the same stuff as the person that blew over a .2 and caused an accident.

thinking about it, this law doesnt really affect me, i only speed on ccc and 19, limit on ccc is 65 so plus that is 115mph. well my limiter kicks on at 110 lol so i'd be safe

as for 19 dont really wanna hit 105 on that thing

Default I75

There is a difference when driving 80 in a 30zone with little kids playing in front of their homes vs driving 120 in a 70zone on I75 (when the exit are like 6 miles apart). Don't forget that on I75 most of the slow cars at night are cruising at 80mph.

In anycase... drive fast at the track.

I wish the victims of DUI drivers could get compensation from the DUI perps through garnished wages.

Drive drunk - pay a fine to the government.
Drive drunk and hurt somebody - pay to the victims for the rest of your life.
