$1000 fine if 50 mph+ law takes effect tomorrow
If you drive with a heavy foot, you better have a heavy wallet. Starting Wednesday, if you're caught driving 50 miles per hour - or more - over the limit in Florida, it'll cost you $1000.
A second offense will cost $2,500 and you'll lose your license for a year.

A third offense means $5,000 and losing your license for 10 years.

I wish they'd make it $1000 for driving 10mph over in residential. Then maybe the soccer moms wouldn't have an excuse for all these fucking speed bumps.

Thank god!!!! People going 50+ should go straight to jail. Not saying I haven't done it myself, but had I gotten caught I wouldn't expect anything less. 80 in a 30 on a bike is easy to do...hopefully this will help people contain themselves a lil better
