You get those moments when you're traveling on the interstate and all of a sudden the road opens up ahead of you, no traffic behind for a few hundred feet, no traffic ahead for a mile or even two. Such perfect opportunities to open it up a bit and let your car stretch its legs. On my last interstate trip I had one of these windows at night on a particularly desolate stretch and I had my slow POS up to 120 with plenty of room to safely shut down and get back to reasonable speed before running up on traffic.

Just enforce the reckless driving laws already on the books, that's always been my opinion. If somebody's doing 80 in a 30 in traffic, weaving in and out of cars, then yeah, throw the book at them. I just don't agree that speed in and of itself is dangerous. I'm many times safer driving 120 in a 70 on an empty road in the middle of the night than I am driving 40mph in a 55 through rush hour traffic on I-4.

Yeah that is just selfish going that fast...even if you survive and the other person doesn't, you have to live with it for the rest of your life, knowing that your decision took someone's innocent life.

idk, I think if you drink drunk at all you need more than a fine, whether it be AA, or a shit load of community service.

and I like this law, if your going 50 over, you need to empty your wallet...

Take it to the Track! just remember you'll have to brake and turn...

i see absolutly nothing wrong with the law.... there is no legitimate reason for someone to be doing 50 over the speed limit... EVER...
