So I drove a cobalt ss today
I havent ever been in a mazdaspeed 3 so I really couldnt compare.
i like the cobalt SS over the SRT4, but there both nice cars, but why doesnt honda, toyota, or nissan come out with a nice little turbo car, something to try and keep up with the SRT4 and Cobalt SS, and cant foget you gotta keep up with the EVO and STI, i would get a Cobalt, i kinda like them pluys u see way too many SRT4's now, i rather drive something a litlle not soo common.

SRT4/ Cobalt SS / S2000 = 240hp!
S2000 isn't in the same class as the Cobalt SS/SRT-4. The Civic Si is in their class because they are basically the highest/sportiest model of their specific car type.
You can't compare a 2-seater, RWD, convertible that is overpriced at $35k to cars that sell for under $25k and are FWD sporty models aimed at the younger crowd.
For the segment I say the Mazdaspeed is the best buy simply because its actually a REALLY nice car for what you pay IMO. I've driven all but the turbocharged Cobalt and I have to say it was the most comfortable and quickest out the cars stock feeling to me.
Mazdaspeed3 > SRT-4 > Civic Si > Cobalt SS until I see new power numbers from the Cobalt thats how it will stay for me cause the supercharged ones didn't impress me much.

it didnt have ALOT of power, but that instant power sure was nice. We also cant forget I didnt drive a stock one, it had the gm stage 2 on it which ups the boost like 3lbs, raises the rev limiter to 7k, retunes the comp and has bigger injectors and it also had a CAI and catback exaust.
I agree that it would be cool if the imports would come out with a real competitor in the class, the civic si is right there in reality with the stock cobalt and stuff but they dont offer any performance upgrades that retain warrenty

I never knew about that liquid.. What kind of power does it make and generally what price range?
I agree that the s2k isnt even close to the same class, thats more with the rx8, 350z, s2k and so on.

yup, there are 2 members on here that already have the comptech kit on the new Civic Si. I believe the kit runs about 3,900 and includes the reflash so your ready to go all in one package no extra tuning necessary. Is kinda like the mopar stage packages for the neons only its comptech doing it for Honda.
Supercharger Kit (06-07 Civic Si)
And i your right about the s2k. It is in another class but I see them going for alot cheaper lately and for almost the same amount of money as a neon you can have the same hp all motor.
btw, I bought my car at Crowne Acura in Clearwater. They install Comptech SC at that dealership. They were doing a NSX when I was there.

^ are you retarded? if you want to compare stock cars like your never going to mod them save your pennies and by a real sports car like a porche or something. This is a car enthusiast site and modding cars is what we all do here probably none of us have a car thats completely stock!
And fyi, he asked me about the kit. If you dont like it dont read it find another thread.
