Actually the Ecotech motor that's in these Cobalts is very very strong. It's all forged internals and can hold a lot of power on stock internals. We just generally don't see this since a supercharger on a 4 cylinder can't make the power that a turbocharger can, when you start heavily modifying the setup.

Like you said, it's not a Honda or a Nissan, so it's not too popular. Then again the SRT-4 wasn't an import either and many people bought that car.

I'd trust a Chevy over a Dodge though.

I own a Honda and a Ford and I like the Cobalt SS

I would just like proof of the new turbocharged setup thats on the car and how much it can put down safely while still under warranty and what makes you lose the warranty.

I like the Cobalt SS without the huge wing on it, I think its a cool little car.

i like the cobalt SS over the SRT4, but there both nice cars, but why doesnt honda, toyota, or nissan come out with a nice little turbo car, something to try and keep up with the SRT4 and Cobalt SS, and cant foget you gotta keep up with the EVO and STI, i would get a Cobalt, i kinda like them pluys u see way too many SRT4's now, i rather drive something a litlle not soo common.

I would probably take the cobalt over anything nissan is making at the moment in the same range. I think newer sentras suck and the altima coupe is cool but its expensive for the V6 model.

Plus I know the Ecotec motor is very well built.

Dont really want to, crappy motor and a torsen beam rear suspension isnt my Idea of a good car. Also why I wouldnt by a skittle; Fast in a straight line but for what I would want the car for there are better options, like the cobalt. (plus they get an awesome warrenty

Im not one for street/drag racing but my stock S14 was even with an SE-R spec V.

yeah the srt or even the new turbo cobalt will put down more power. That is just a fun car to drive for your average person. Im used to drive an integra ls around all day so getting into that was a blast. Nothing amazing, it didnt stick me to my seat or give me a huge rush. It was just fun, alot of fun. I waant one now lol

How does it compare with a Mazdaspeed 3? That's the car to beat in the segment.
