Pon and I spoke with the Manager of a local dealership last year about putting down a depostit etc.... The first thing he mentioned is that Nissan was planning on penalizing any dealership that did mark up. It may still happen somehow, but the whole point of the GTR in the US is to build a dominant sports car for less than the rest ( or at least most)
This car will be badass either way, but it is nice to see an automaker protecting the consumer even a little.

why is 70k over priced? is a Z06 is worth 70k to you?

i dont wanna get into a pissing match...
but how is the Z06 well worth 70k, but the new GT-R isnt?
I would love for someone who actually tracks car to give an opinion on this when it comes out, instead of us benchracers speculating.

But the GTR has 2 turbos which = 2x as much as the Z making it cost twice as much or something like that.

the gt-r will be around 100k we all know this.
now take the 2009 zr1 vette same price range..the zo6 is dead the zr1 is the new.compare the 2 specs and its night and day.the vette is lighter and has more power..
the vette will wipe its ass with the gt-r it is what it is.

A z06 is DEF worth that to me.
But i just dont see paying 70k on one, if you can even get them at that price. I would buy an old skyline, IMO the older styles looked better.
I think its probably worth the 70k but not in my book.
The only upside to it is all the different setups you can have, the computer in that thing is nasty sick.
But thats just my take on it im sure you could argue your case too.

The zr1 is like 750whp, might be 750 at the crank but that will walk all over the GTR
