I have to agree with you on this,I have always thought the 2j was a better motor for building,and im not really hating on skylines,I like the 32's but come on the price you would spend on a 34 you could put into something else,I dont really hate any car.I think every car has potential if done correct,it's the more of the scene of certain cars that makes it stupid.Trust me there are some mustang guys that should not even be aloud to leave there house.So whatever I dont hate skylines I just don't see the point of paying that much for a car like that.

is the vr38 and the new gtr your saving grace for the rb,somehow proving that the rb is great ???

this thread never went there but you did if you dont remember I said I would take a r32 with a 2j and own all because I like the 2j and I like the r32 .
are you going to buy the new gtr is that why you just started to talk about it???
I have been in a fast r32 and I love the fact that it is lighter than a r34 and the way it looks and the way it handles it is only missing one thing in MY opinion a larger displacment engine so instead of building the crap out of a rb I think a 2j will do the job for less money and alot less hair pulling to get parts trackside when little things go wrong, look at what happened when japan ran a r34 here for a top speed run it broke and they sent it home the first time,there are no parts to fix shit.

I say ditch both motors and put in a well built turbo VQ, Its aluminum, and larger displacement. Its lighter and shorter, which gives you better placement ect ect.(road racing only)
Other than that, I dont know if your talking about the RB25 or RB26 because they are completly different motors.
And Yes the 2jz is best for making big power.

I agree, the price for an older skyline is stupidly overboard. But I think its more of a collectors car in the states than anything else now.
