drive stick shift weird?.
WTF? well you wanna start out in first, then move to 2, and so on. you normally want to cruise in the highest gear for better gas mileage. Make sure your foot is all the way down on the clutch pedal when changing gears, or else you will grind the gear.

rev the motor till it cant go no more and just jam gears?
Off the gas, clutch in, move to the next gear, clutch out, and on the gas.

yeah. like i was practicing in my friends ex hatch the other day. and he taught me a different way then my other friend did. should i believe the genius? or a guy that races?. the hatch was pretty hard to drive. lol. it had a deployed airbag no power steering or dashboard lights (LOL)and it was a pretty bumpy ride and i stalled once. my friend with the hatch said i did good and made his front tires spin. lol. and my genius friend had a neon. like. isnt there a certain point i should shift or something?. my friends say its like a feeling. btw im still kinda new at stickshift so im not that great but im getting there.
depending on what your going for, daily driving in normal conditions 3-4k rpms is what i was taught to shift at. theres really no way you can mess up unless you spin the motor out with a stock clutch and try to grab gears as fast as you can.
hold it at like 7k RPM's and without using the clutch jam it into first.. then hold the clutch and the gas and proceed to do the same thing with the rest of the gears..
please dont really do that.
