tried learning on a Spec V with a stage 2 clutch...not too well...

then on a jeep wrangler with a brand new OEM clutch...easy as balls

Please do not listen to this idiot.go drink some coolant dumbass.

this is how I learned to drive manual/standard..and I taught myself:
1)start the car by pushing the clutch pedal(far left pedal) all the way in.
2)put the gear selector into first(upper left)
3)slowly let out the clutch till you feel/see the car moving and then bring the rpms up to about 1500-2000 and let out the clutch all the way...not too fast or it will jerk.
4)to change gears let off the gas
5)press the clutch pedal all the way in
6)put the gear selector into the next gear in sequence.

always remember when you want to slow to a light or anything just put the car in neutral.(can be done without touching the clutch)Then brake like you would normally in an automatic.

hope this helped.let me know if you have any other questions.

explained all right there also if u jerk from gears to gears it all depends on your timing when u release the clutch and step on the gas lift of the clutch slowly to get it smooth

when you engage the clutch by pressing the pedal down the clutch spins freely inside the transmission.so it therefore creates wear on the clutch because its moving.I used to brake like that a lot but I stopped because of what I've heard about it.
