Serious specs for that thing. The new HP war in full bloom is a glorious thing. 1 year after the SS comes out I forsee a 700 hp supercharged Viper. Maybe 750 hp. Dodge did go for a 100 hp jump over the Z06 with the new Viper.

But then, Viper guys laugh at people that brag about great gas mileage.
I would agree its over. It died back in the 70s. Now we have the performance era. There really hasnt been any muscle cars till the latest dodge cars with the hemis.

There isnt anything wrong with a company making a performance car along with regular cars. Its not like vettes are the cash cow for GM.

I doubt we will ever see a supercharged Viper. The mindset has always been big cubes for big reliable hp.

Rumor is the 08 is detuned for 600hp. Mopar bolt-ons bump it to 675. Who knows? Regardless, it is a great time to be a motorhead.

Chuck...somehow I knew when I came in here you were going to be comparing the Viper to the Vette. I'll bet the Vette is somewhat 'detuned' as well. I mean a simple pulley upgrade and I bet it'll see 700+ without a problem. So stop feeding us that line. The new Vette has more balls than the Viper for less money, its that simple.

Okay, the muscle car era is over? Thats plain retarded. Both the Viper and the Vette are Muscle cars. New age Muscle Cars. Big cubes, serious power, built to kick ass. Sounds like a muscle car to me. Maybe Spectacle should stick to 1.6L motors and leave the big boys alone.

I can't believe people try and defend there slow cars and bring up gas mileage, my friends LS1 gets better gas mileage then my car ever got. If you enjoy cars you shouldnt worry about gas mileage.
