The official designation for the car is the SS on all GM documentation to date. The engine designated to be used in the SS for the ’08-’09 model year will be the 6.2L LS9, and it will be supercharged. The engine will be rated at 650 hp with 650 lb-ft of torque. GM contacts close to the LS9 engine design say the 650hp figure is underrated. The car will only be available with a six-speed MTX transmission

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.
