LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

Ford only owns enough to get Volvo to develop a pretty good platform, give it to Mazda to finesse, then finish up with a decent European Focus after it is all said and done.

They have very little influence more often than not, which is good.

Not to get off topic, but Toyota finally outsold GM in Q1 I guess

Ford's Euro Focus has been great way before Mazda. Then again most Ford Europe cars are 10x better than anything we'll ever see.

but the European Focus is a Volvo designed chassis.....

basically the Euro Focus, Volvo S40, and Mazda 3 are all built on the same "C1" platform.

So we do get those cars here and its not because of Ford

Yes the "NEW" one is all the same. But as I said the Euro one has been beyond impressive prior to anything shared with Mazda or Volvo.

I thought one of the awesome things about the new rotory was a new break through design for the apex seals so they would last alot longer. I love the chassis, not a fan of the motor.

actually talked to a shop tech at one of the bay area Mazda dealerships and he says they are regularly replacing the rotary motor in the RX8s, about one every couple days. He says its mostly people not "getting on the car enough" and carbon is building up and eventually they lose a lot of compression.

At least this is what I was told tonight...
