Yea compete with the lower end civic which at the time made the same amount of hp. the SI wasnt much above that untill the last year or two.

And i was comparing the RSX to the focus because the thread starter did also comparing the B and K series motors with the one in the focus. They are on two differnt levels. GM has some potent 4cyl's now in the cobalt, sky and solstice, which I belive the turbo version is pushing 260. and ford has the turbo 4wd focus in europe which is on par with an evo and STi. but since the rest of the world is less concern'd with tree hugging we get the short end of the stick most the time.

Either way the civic is an economy car not its not even a sport compact unless you are talking about the Type R. and so is the focus, the AEM thing was just marketing idea to get people to buy them. and Saleen is an outside company, if you buy one its a dealership special. they are not part of ford.

Anything makeing 2000+ hp is never going to be a daily, because
1. it will get 3 mpg
2. no matter what they say its going to wear out parts in less than 2000 miles
3. cost an insane amount of money to get the motor to that point and then 3x that in cost of upkeep.
4. you would be changing your clutch on a 3-4 day basis
the list goes on and on. V8's are no different.

The only engine coming close the anykind of real power realiabe like you want would be a diesel, and thats more TQ than anything. hp would be in the 700+ while your TQ would be past 1500, and Ive read about only one truck with that kind of power and it has over 200,000 miles on a stock block.

well i was'nt comparing the k with any ford motor i use the sohc cvh ford motor to make a point. the close's thing fords got is the ztec and it only makes 135hp and 132tQ .

oh like i said many times before i can't type!!!

the thing is that any motor can make 2000hp but will you ever get there im talking the ave guy with the ave job not some racer. im just fueling talking points

also the little ford ztec dose some potenial ford used it in the focus rally cars (don't fight me on this im a small ford freak) the cossie motors died with the escort! cosworth tuned the ford focus rally cars and turboed the motors for them and it made a resticted 300hp but ford's rally team said it was able to make a good 500 all day !!
