is'nt this about the politicians takein the right to own a device that would not help or hinder in traffic from us. even though theres more problems with traffic to focus on .. and not on old people or the gripes that you may have with the police or the radar dectors ?

I've never used one, never plan on using one, and I usually cruise at less than 10mph over the speed limit. I'll still write something to the senator because this is just another BS law to pad law enforcement pocketbooks. Speeding tickets in general are BS- if a vehicle's speed down a road is so excessive that it puts people in danger, give the driver a reckless driving ticket. If it's within a reasonable range for the road given traffic conditions leave them alone. You'd think that the speed limit is set to a reasonable high value based on the design of the road and traffic flow through it, but usually it's just arbitrarily set 10-12 mph lower than the safe design speed of the road as determined by the traffic engineers who designed it because "slower is safer" in the minds of ignorant busybodies with their thumbs up their asses (our lawmakers).

 

guys your missing the whole point of all this! this has nothing to do with wether or not you use one, own one, care about them, or have ever even seen one. Think about it. They are trying to pass a law that says you cant suction cup a device to your car windshield that does nothing more than detect radio waves. They are taking our freedoms from us one little bit at a time. just enough so that no-one cares. until one day, there wont be anything left. this country is supposed to be free. we are supposed to be able to do whatever we want as long as it does not interfere with other individuals personal freedoms. i dont see how having a radar detector is in any way harming anyone else's personal freedom or safety. this law is complete bullshit and just another way for the goddamn government to flex their power hungry muscles and take one more little piece of our freedoms from us. all these bastards are doing is stealing our country from us. fuck them. too bad theres nowhere else to go... this country is a wreck.

Im from Venezuela, you have probably seen whats going on over there. Trust me when I say this. The US is the lesser of All the evils. Fight about the things you dont like, and remember the things you CAN do. I say fight for the things you want because here you can, while in other countrys they would kill you to shut you up.
