Yeh when i realized how much stuff it takes i changed my mind and figured i would do it right so either ill order that stuff from eastwood or try it out like joebobclark

 

looks like he used teh same stuff that comes in that kit.

all you need to do is hit up advance auto parts.

get aircraft stripper to get all the clear coat off

sand with like 200 grit, then 500 grit, then 800 grit, then 1000 grit, then 2000... you can skip some of them if you feel like, but that would be a good baseline. after the 2000 grit get some mothers alum. polish and get a polishing thing (sorry im not very good at technical terms) but a polishing bit for a drill and polish them.

Glenn's wheel polishing is yet again worth the money in this case!

 

I polished my hx's by hand so I know it can be done. Lots of work though. Checkout my tr garage and see what you think. I started off with 400 grit, then 600 then 800 to 1200 but 1200 dry then 1200 wet to get rid of the scratches. Then a hard compound witha highspeed and then mothers witha terry cloth. Or if you prefer to spend the money about 130 a wheel go to transwheel. I work there but cant give deals they do agreat job. powder coat , fix , polish, chrome (done up north) or glens polishing is another.

 

I did forget to mention the air craft stripper to remove the clear first
