shit, just come look at me, i wear shorts everywhere i go.
i am missing the lower part of my left leg, just below the knee, due to some asshole in a semi truck couldnt wait another min, on a monday morning to get to his drop off. i was doing everything right, had my helmet, going with the flow of traffic....the list can go fucking on and on.
but i live with this shit everyday, my family does, my girlfriend does, and for some of you pricks to come on here and say you will do some dumb shit on purpose to hurt a fellow rider pisses me the fuck off.
you didnt have to be in a coma for 9 days, you are not the ones who's father signed the paper so his first son would have his leg amputted. you are not the ones who spent a month in the hospital, not able to fucking eat due to a fractered jaw, losing over 50 pounds. having to have your fucking parents help wipe you ass and hold you dick. you fuckers are not the ones who had to go to Physical theropy for 3 months, having to have your mother help get you dressed, in your wheel chair, and in the car. the list can go fucking on and on .
you see me now, and you wouldnt/couldnt tell i was missing a leg,or anythinged has happened if i had jeans on.

You have to give respect to earn respect. I respect bikers to a certain extent. Those who use their turning signals or use their hands to signal which lane their going in I respect. Those who change lanes and have the appropriate distance I respect.
I respect them when their infront of me. I give them about 3 car length infront my car. If they get in my lane infront of me, I ease off and stay back to give them distance incase anything occurs.
I really don't like being behind bikes because you don't know what the person infront of the bike is going to do. Like it was stated in this thread people in passenger vehicles slam on their brakes or brake check, I am guilty of brake checking people but that if their riding my bumper for no reason... I just don't go around doing it.
When a biker is infront of me I keep my distance in which I think its safe for me and for the biker infront of me. When I get a chance and if another lane is available I switch lanes. I feel safer with a biker on the side of me then infront of me.

Actually I've been wanting a bike, but for safety reasons the soon to be wife won't let me get one. I find them unique and since speed is my adrenaline rush I think she feels that I might end up dead. I respect her in this part and will not get one as much as I want one. Biker's should be respected for the fact that their motorist like everyone else on the road. Whether someone is driving a car, motorcycle, bicycle, scooter, semi, truck, suv, etc... they should be respected. Whenever I can I try to talk to people who are on sport bikes or try to give them the thumbs up.

using turn signals? seriously? hand signals?wha?
cause taking you hand off the handle bars for a split second then the cars in front stops short, and i have to grab a handfull of brake. possibably popping it on the front wheel. not all bikers are stunters, i scared the piss out of my self when i accidently endo'd my bike in the mall parking lot.
if anything i dont want your respect i just want you to know that i'm there. you can have you ass out the window mooning me i dont care as long as i see you look over your shoulder 2 or 3 time before you change lanes. i see you look at me in you mirrior. i see you se pissed when i'm 3ft off your bumper, just to click down a gear and ride off right past you. or at night when i'm behind you with my brights on to make sure you can see me, i watch you adjust you mirrior.
stuff like that is what i would like to see more of, and none of that has anything to do with respect.

Hey C4 crusin stop trying to argue with me. Thats all you've been doing. Respect is earned by following simple traffic laws. Using your turn signals shows someone that you have respect for them and the road. Also shows that you clearly see them and their aware that your trying to exchange lanes. If I'm driving and you throw yourself in the lane I'm in without any turning signal I'm going to be like wtf. I find it disrespectful. Turn signals are there for a reason and makes people more aware of what your going to be doing. You argument does not justify the facts. You want a motorist to give biker's respect but you don't feel that a biker should give a motorist respect first to earn it. It goes both ways here. A biker shares the same roads that passenger vehicles, trucks, bus's, taxi drivers, etc. drive on. Everyone should give respect, not one person/transportation is special then the other and/or should have special privilages.

In this country we are taught to drive between the lines.
Just like how we are taught to park.
If 2 bikes parked side by side, thats plenty of room for any truck/car to still open the door with out it hitting the bikes.
2 bikes side by side is not as wide as a car.
I would say you have alot more dumb asses driving cars than bikes.

How hurt was the driver, and what happend to him?
People dont understand as something simple as paitence could cause someone thier life.Bikers have to watch the road for themselves, and do the driving for others too.

fuck you and these traffic laws, people every where at any time break them. your no different then i.
I DONT WANT YOUR RESPECT. JUST AKNOWLEGE THAT WHEN A BIKER IS AROUND YOU DRIVE BETTER. YOU DONT HAVE TO FOLLOW EVERY LAW IN CREATION. JUST FUCKING DRIVE WITH YOUR HEAD ON YOUR SHOULDERS INTSTED OF IT BEING 2FT UP YOU OWN ASS. HANG UP THE CELL PHONE, TURN DOWN THE RADIO, AND CHECK YOUR FUCKING MIRRIORS AND BLIND SPOTS.
i have been hit by cars it sucks. Fuck i wish element could have been as lucky as i am. everytime i get in my car i think about the rider down threads in bike tech. 87people and been down in a little less then a year. most of them were bikers getting hit by 4 wheeld vehicles.
respect the fact my life is at a greater risk then yours. i could be at a light stopped scratching my balls and a car can loose control and i'm toast. your in a metal cage, for protection. i wear my protection my body doesnt have air bags
i dont believe your talk for a minute about you wanting to get a bike. its not in your personality. your too much of a chicken shit. being scared on a bike is almost as dangerous as being overconfident. my guess is you will panic and boom your toast.

I have a friend I grew up with since I was 4 or 5,hes been paralized in his left arm since 99/2000 from a bike accident.Where some old bitch cut across on waters. He thought he had control of the situation and tried to swerve.
She basically came to a stop in the road, and he hit her back 1/4 panel.
I myself could not wake up everyday with a lost arm/leg or my body fucked up from someones dumb ass mistake.
I made this thread for drivers to know to look for bikes.
This is Memorial day weekend.
Be safe,
