psssht. i say get the z. most people aren't lucky enough to have such a beauty for a first car, but that doesn't mean someone who has the opportunity shouldn't take advantage of it. maybe having something so nice will motivate the kid to be careful with it.

My brother is one who started this thread. LOL I told him to go with the Evo and be careful with it (I also want to drive it). Also they have high maintainance costs (tires,brake pads) and be very careful with the transmission (clutch and transfer cases are weak). My first car was my Wrx and I have taken great care of the car (no accidents and have gotten one ticket so far, went 5 over speed limit). Also we are not spoiled we have to maintain basically staight A's and put a lot of our own money in the car. The Evo is $21000 which is a pretty good price.
