The first question you have to answer is who pays your insurance. If you are paying your own insurance get ready to cry and it might take quite a few cars off your list real quick. Don’t spend all your money on the car. Make sure you save a little money to put towards brakes, suspension, and tires.

Early 90's Miata.

Handles good and its always more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

i dont think some of yall read him right here ill help ya out.

I want good handling of course but I want a fast car also. For cheap of course.

Unless your going to put a turbo in it, a civic wont be that. Look at a older turbo dsm Or even a mx5 miata. There not fast but there pretty quick and you can do a sr20det swap or a 13bt swap later on if you get the money. For the price range there one of the best handling cars if not the best you can get.

and yeah get a manual, you will be glad you did later on.

Pick up a 1g dsm or an old Fox body.

My 2 recommendations. Gluck in your endeavor. W/e it is, be safe.

speed and handling for that price range isn't impossible or anything... but expect to make sacrifices in the looks and comfort departments. my vote is for a fox body.

I was going to recommend an old 5.0 Fox body, but the insurance on that would leave the kid broke.
