FreeThoughtDean (1:15:03 AM): you have to lengthen teh wheelbase like 10 inches
dorifutobushido (1:15:05 AM): it just has the same looking front end
dorifutobushido (1:15:18 AM): i didnt realize it was that much longer
dorifutobushido (1:15:30 AM): ive never seen one in real life

FreeThoughtDean (1:20:07 AM): for a 'sportscar'

Blah, while I never owned a Stang, I had enough friends with them that I feel like I did the Mustang thing.....
Lightweight yes, good for drag.. sorta, but breaking blocks at 500hp is lame, you have to get a Windsor or Cleveland just to hang with the BowTie guys.
As much as I loathe GM, I would take a Camaro over a Mustang any day...
It's always opinion, but get some subframe connectors, a good weld-in cage, and find a SHO V6 or even V8...
now that would be a rad domestic drifter.

So Ford = Fail (god I hate that fucking expression) for using a solid axle, but the vette slides by because its got IRS, even though it uses fucking LEAF SPRINGS front and rear?
BTW, anyone that uses that "pass fail" bullshit is automatically exempt from any opinion on solid axles because a solid axle is best for drag racing, and a drag racer would never use such a gay phrase.

UM THE CORVETTE only has a leaf spring in the back, in the front it has conventionl coilover shocks. i give ford credit for atleast stepping into the 20th century with OHC's and some IRS. but chevy is just DERK! pushrods and leaf springs are doomed to failur. the corvette is still "whipe your ass in fiberglass" i'd have amustang before a really crappy camaro. but then again i hate most american cars, i just like mustangs because their wheels fit on my 240, and ofcoarse Caroll SHelby!

Add these GM factory Z51 Springs to your C5 and Increase performance and handling. Excellent upgrade for F45. If you would like better cornering ability without that racecar ride, these are the springs for you. Package is complete with front and rear Z51 springs.

z51 is a suspension option for the vette. it only has leaf springs in the back, and its only one in a transvers location. i know this because i've worked on vette's. in the front it has double wishbone's and a coilover shock. so what chevy gets 500hp out of 427ci. i can get 500hp out of 2.0L's. your point? i think i just proved my point that pushords suck.

After readling all of that crap, I've realized that you have no clue and have no idea what you're talking about.
And while you're improperly hating on solid axles, tell me again what the AE86 is running and then get back to me on that one.
I want my 5 minutes back for reading this ignorant crap.

C4s have both a transverse in the front and back. And yea you can make 500 hp outta 2.0, but you are gonna have some, at least minor driveablity issues from time to time. And you are never going to have the power in demand like the 7.0L LS7 motor will. Plus the motor isnt far from a making 600hp with just some tuning and bolt ons. And all the while still mainting high 20s mpg on the highway
