I ran 12.7 @ 109 without my nitrous set up on street tires.

 

His car does run 11's all day and it's pretty close to running 10's on a lucky day. Which is the goal on the pea shooter stock turbo without nitrous. And yeah, it sounds like your car should be in the 11's, but you should go run it and find out for sure before you say too much about that.

 

Actually his DSM runns 11.2s ALL TWO YEARS STRAIGHT WITH NO BREAKS.

 

alright, i read till page 7 and i have had enough....

i have noticed one thing that MOST people talking in this thread has been throwing aroudn the idea that $5000 and see who goes the fastest.

well the ford guys built this car from SCRAP parts laying in a garage, the car, engine, tranny, etc... was all donated buy ford forum gooruu's. i have personally donated a few parts that i had just sitting in my apartment collecting dust.

i think the only parts we have purchased is bolts, nuts, and maybe a gasket or 2 and that is it....

if this to become a compittion then keep it fair and no bullshit $5000 budget or donations. only spare parts donated for FREE, only minor pieces should be purchased.

 

if anyone can do it than how come evryone isn't doing it? everyone think that nitrous is cheap and anyone can go out and buy a used kit and install it, run all day long in the 11's. that is not the case, i have had several nitrous kits and my last has been the least expensive which totaled up to about $1000 to make it run CORRECTLY.

compucar kit- $400
Predator custom tuner and tune/ dyno time - $500
Sprak plugs - $50

that was with NO safty switch, NO window switch, NO wide open throttle switch. it was just a green button and my finger that was activation. so i dont see this "anyone can run nitrous and be fast". yeah anyone can be cheap and run fast for a few passes but that defeates the purpose of having a track car.

ALSO: i have talked to alot of people that HATE mustangs and the main reason is because eberyone has one it seems like. well that is what is going to make it SOOOO easy for our car to be a fast MOFO, everyone and there mother has mustang parts laying around and will more than likly give them away to get rid of them. which is what started our whole project. someone made the comment "i bet we could build an entire car from spare parts just laying around our garages". and that is where the Ford Forum Frankenstang project started.
