well I have been racing fords for 20 years or better my 302 with ported factory 69 windsor heads went 11.70s at 117 on motor .wich tells you there is more there. and went 10.70s at 125 on 150 shot it had a bit more compression than stock 13 to1 but I have run hi 10s on flat tops on 200 shot it is not rocket sceince so the ford guy you who says it cant be done obviously has never met me. I am finishing my mustang II now and it has 68 302 heads and will most definately run 10s and low 12s or hi 11s on the motor if you have ever seen nhra stock class records for non ported head motors is low 11s or maybe even 10s by now. and I forgot to mention I port my own heads and have for years my windsor heads will swallow a pair of non ported trick flow heads.
what do you think people did before all these heads came out.the only thing that will keep it from going 10s is head gasket failure.and if the heads that they have ar not big enough well I just happen to have a pair sittin here that have been 10s that I will gladly donate. they said they had a pair of ported windsor heads. they are almost the same as gt 40 heads before porting, and yes I doubt it will go 9s with 302 but with a 351 windsor it definatly can be done.dont be mad just build something badder ( if you can)

 

been there done that, you can run 10's with a stock head 302 on spray.

 

How many people in this thread have worked on a 5.0? All the honda guys have no idea, lets just settle this at the track. I have gone 12,s in a 83 mecury grand marquis with full interior ac and all motor. Just a carbed 302, left the longest burnout at riverview high school in 99. Fastest car at riverview high in 99 and did this with a heavy carbed 302.

 

how do you know non of the honda guys have worked on a 5.0? do you know everyone on this site? didnt think so....i cant speak for everybody, but i personaly have, i have helped build several mustangs...347stroker,428CJ,302HO,460SVO..ive had my share of experience working with fords, wasnt till the last 3-4 yrs. that i started messing with hondas....

I sold the integra in about a week, I have owned 7 5.0 powered cars and a 460 big block. I think you are the sac rider with no really knowledge of fords, putting sparkplugs in your dads stang is not really working on it. You have to put the power to the ground to get the good times.

 

putting the plugs in my dads stang?....my dad was a chevy guy, we had 3 72 monte carlo's a 73 caprice classic, 88 S-10 with a SB400...2 of my cousins owned several mustangs, i helped them build them, from putting header's on to putting a new cam, and heads on....ive done a lil of everything....you dont know me so dont act like im just one of the average doesnt know anything Ricers....
