Corolla XRS
SE-R is great, really quite cool, but being a Toyota guy I'd have to pick the XRS over it. All more I'd ask for it is more power and much more torque..I'm sure that would be quite a decent car to toss around. Maybe a supercharger or something
Ah yes, my first baby seal. 300lbs + of people in the car plus 5th gear longevity + 10mm of Hg of vacuum = teh win!
I couldnt see myself even looking at them after that day...

WTF no comment on the SE-R? Go test drive corolla, then SE-R. One test drive will end this discussion.
SpecV is the fastest car money can buy for under $20K, with all the extra's your looking for in a 4 door econo ride to boot. Whatever it is that you like about the corolla, the spec v does better. Think about how much a good set of coilovers would be for the corolla. specV comes with spec V-rated suspension factory. (and Z-rated tires.)
Someone on thevboard.com drove a specV off the lot for $15,XXX recently. You should be able to get in one for low 16's easy.

sentra SE-R. More bang for your buck. Corollas are dime a dozen, ive seen few SE-Rs.

I have daily driven a Corolla S (same as the xrs except mine is auto and no sunroof) for the past 3 years, It's great on gas even with the a/c on, very comfortable, handles great, and a decent stock sound system. I haven't had any problems with it yet and it just rolled to 60,000 today.
+1 for the Corolla
