Default Engine Management!

Always a sketchy topic. If only there was a "rom tune" for everything right?

Anyhow, for most "normal people" what system do each of you prefer? What do you have experience with? Why do you like it or not?

I've had SDS on my Z31 back in the day, worked great for what it was. Not sure tho if it can really compete with other options for the price, but it sure was Simple, Digital, and a "system" as advertised!

Oh yeah. I'm really thinking of using megasquirt for my next project mainly because its at least as capable as sds for a fraction of the cost, and I already own a laptop

It looks like I will be going with Megasquirt II.

It has expanded fueling tables in addition to spark control that utilizes ford's distributorless ignition system components (coilpacks).

John, whats the cost on an AEM system? I assume their ignition controller would be required if switching to coil packs, correct?

Megasquirt II looks like the best opotion for me. I dont think AEM supports the MK3 supra, only the MKIV.

EDIT: Actually on their website it says 1987 1988 supra turbo.. I'm going to do some research on that.

Thier ignition is great and is designed to use with coil packs.
