To correct an earlier assumption megasquirt is a two bank injection system.

As far as all the pros and cons that have been mentioned, one that has not been mentioned is that as you max out your fuel injectors under full engine load sequential looses its advantages over a batched system as far as when fuel is dumped into your ports.

The one place sequential really shines is emissions during normal engine operation on engines with valve overlap. Do you think I give a shit about emissions? PnP? That means nothing to me for my application.

As has been beaten like a dead horse which system you get is ahould be about what options you want. I am already working on a computer instrumentation system for my car so I don't need another computer, I need an EFI system that can work intimately with my car PC so MS II is much more valuable to me as a developer than AEM would be.

When it comes to which can mix fuel with air and control spark MS II is has brought the DIY EFI solution almost up to par with the best aftermarket.

I have been doing a lot of research on this lately and the main difference in tunability (i.e. POWER OUTPUT) between MSII and a good aftermarket system are the size of the respective fuel, spark, knock tuning tables.

The VE, Tuning and Spark Table Resolution for a good aftermarket system like AEM is 17x21 where MSII has 12x12 resolution. Thats a little less resolution but how many data points do you need to properly define the VE map for an engine?

Yeah this is true, with some really large turbos that have 2K rpm powerbands it would suck to have tuning areas every 1K rpm LOL.
