How many imports do you see with 100k+ still racing much less running? I've seen a plethra of 302's with 100k+ miles running at the track, a few were spraying. Hell look at Scotts car. I remember him telling me he sucked in water in the motor. Replaced the oil and the motor still going strong. That same shortblock was used with his turbo until recently he decided to retire it and stroke it.(The motor not himself) -Mark

There are more imports at the track w/ 100k than there are Mustangs or any other domestics. I'd wager on that.

I'll do that. Imports are very reliable at 100+ for the most part. Speaking hear of Nissans, Toyotas, and Hondas. As with any car if you take care of it will last. However there are guys that blow up motors no matter what the mileage is simply because they have failed to maintain it, over built it, or failed to tune properly. This also happens to domestic guys.

Original motors? I think not. Swap, swap, swap, swap, LS/vtec build up, sr20det, blah blah blah. I've got 139k on my original motor. My first mustang ever had 120k on it before I ever put a nitrous kit on it, in fact, out of the 8 or so mustangs I've owned, none of them had less than 120k on them, and just about every one of them got sprayed and raced. Why is it always apples/oranges when you try to talk to import guys
