rx8
im surprised no one even brought up the fact that the RX-8 wasnt made to go fast in a straight line, just like the RX-7, their handling is out of this world, thats where the car really shines.

Because everyone is interesed in raw acceleration; they think they only have a steering wheel to get their car straight on the "track".

The Cosmo is way to heavy to ever be considered the same slice as the RX8..However the 8 with 3 irons would pull nicely.

Cosmos *cough *cough 20B=2.0L
The Cosmos was ahead of its time in technology.. either 13b or 20b it was a nice car.. it wasnt out to be a full sports car..

Too see, if you wanted some work. But you already answered that question, I will just do them all myself, when I have the time..

whos fault is that...
like said before, the status of the rx8's performance is depending in the eyes of the beholder.. no matter what it has to have acceleration and what not just to get around the curves.. its built solid regardless of the suicide doors, far more sturdy than the rx7..

RX8: the car was built for handling and has superior handling compared to many vehicles in its class. It is faster than most compact cars, but true it isnt as fast in a straight line as many sports cars. But its unique. I am sure in the near future mazda will make it have more horsepower, or release a turbocharged RX8.
I dont know if anyone answered this question earlier but someone asked why the auto had less hp than the 6 speed. Its because the auto engine only has a 4 port intake as the manual has a 6 port intake.
