well the next thing is the clutch i was thinking i was going to pick up a little power once the problem was figured out but im guessing it ws hurting the power alot because i floor it and the clutch does not even try and hold the power it jumps straight up to 6000 VS before it was holding

We had the same alum wheel with both 3 and 3 plus, but i put a new insert in the wheel because you can't resurface an alum wheel. The 3 only lasted about 10k miles witch was not good, for the fact the wife drove it easy. But the 3 plus was only in the car a short time before i put the glide in. But it chattered from the start and with the solid engine mounts if felt really bad.

I know the twin disc stuff is $$ but if your goals are 9's shifting, it may be money well spent. That was part of our problem, 1000 clutch or 1500 glide. Plus i was not happy with our 5 spd.

He has done every tranny i've ever had. Great price, good parts and he gives you what you need. I had the tranny and he built it with the sfi ford bell for around $1300 then i bought a PTC converter.

I had the same glide in my rambler for 6 years, i had him freshen it up after year 5 because it had been 5 years!! Street driven alot and ran 9.50's with low 1.3 sixty's .

But now its been an issue trying to get it tuned right and the drive ability sux w/ the carb! But it deff made a world of a difference converting it over! Just got to find the right person to tune a blow through carb!!!!!
