I told him to drive to my place and pick up a meter so i could test all the ignition parts and check there ohms values.after checking a few things we came upon the dizzy.Chad said that vthe cap looked like it had two diffrent marks where the rotor was contacting pickups in the cap.i took the cap of and went to pull the rotor off and the dizzy came up a 1/4 of a inch.that thing was advancing the timing up down on its own.pulled the dizzy and saw that the roll pin was missing.first time i had every seen a roll pin fall out.

Good thing the oil pump shaft kept spinning, your $500 tune would've looked cheap.

We had the spec 3 in our car and when we did the engine swap i put in a spec 3 plus. I wasn't real happy with it, it chattered on a new insert on our alum flywheel and the pedal effort was more. For not much gain on hold. I would look into a twin disc setup.

yea thats what i was looking at was the spece3+ did itchatter because of the aluminum flywheel or just in general? its funny you say that about the oil pump cause on the way home last night i was thinking the same thing. as for the spec3 how was the chatter? VS the spce 3+
