Default Crazy ranger ignition problem...

hopefully someone can help me out with this problem and heres whats going on..

i bought my ranger from a guy and while he owned it it was struck by lightning and i guess shorted out the ignition somewhere to where he wired in a killswitch because with a fuse in the box and no killswitch the trucks ignition source stays "armed and powered" running the fan and fuel pump and ecu. and the truck cranks over and starts but turning the key and pulling it out does not turn off the truck.. so he wired in this killswitch and while jerry rigged to the max i didnt mind because i got the truck for 500 bucks, well last weekend driving home the killswitch overheated and shorted out the truck stalled, i replaced the switch and opon flipping it blew a 50 amp fuse, replaced the fuse and i have no charge coming from my alt. at all.. i want to fix it and do it right.. anyone know what is messed up? im low on cash and cant afford to go buying parts blindly till i fix it.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP GUYS.. i've done full stand alones in a couple cars and stuff im not new to wiring and stuff but this has my scratching head and im too young to go bald D:
