Default s14 ignition problem??

I just bought this s14 today and theres a problem on the ignition.the last owner has a special way to start it up but I can't seem to get it.everytime he trys,it starts right away.can anyone tell me how to fix this problem.either change the whole ignition or what.any input will be apreciated.

hmm happen to me in my last s14 i had towiggle the key up just a lil bit for it to start, no1 would know how to start my car but me it was pretty cool

i dont know what your problem may be, but if you end up needing a new ignition switch assembly, i got one for ya still brand new in box for $20. just thought id throw it out there

LOL. mine does this too. I have to turn the key like 3 times before it starts.

fixed,I ordered a new ignition switch,cylindar,and 2 brand new key.plug and play but the 2 screws was the hardest part to do.
