The Stang body you were referring to with the 5.0 motor in it was the bastard child for Ford. So pass on that one. And I will have to agree with getting a 5.0 (of course
) because the parts are cheaper, the cars are easier to mod, and the cost of the car will be less than a SN-95. Yes the older ones 90-93 don't handle as good as the newer ones but that can be corrected very easily.
Get a 90-93 with a 5-speed and you will be very pleased.

Lot lighter than the GT. Prefferably a coupe, I think they look meaner.
And if your gonna build a lot of power on it, stay away from convertibles, it will flex like a mofo. Or if you're gonna autoX it too.

For a daily driver go for 4.6 motor is a lot smoother and handles a lot better. also a lot heavier- save your ass in a bad wreck
