Really? I wonder why everyone on corral who has a 96-98 gt is swapping their heads for a set of PI heads. Look at all the fast 2v's. All 99+ cars. Its the heads. They don't flow for shit. Check out corral. -Mark

Chill a little MARK its a combo.The intake is the worst the 99up intakes are similiar to the SVO design with runner length and plenum volume and such.
The cams on the old heads are terrible and the intake is sorry also.The main diff. in the newer heads and the older ones are the Ex. flow numbers the old heads dont breathe on that side thus the newer heads have larger Ex. valves.The In. valves on both the old heads and the new PI heads are the same size but the PI valves are dished a little to get better low flow than the older heads.The runner length is shortened and the plenum volume is increase which make for a better combo for better higher rpm power.The newer heads also have alot more room for porting because of a diff. runner config. The cams also went from a .474 190dur 114 to a PI .510 201 dur 114 lobe IN/.530 210dur 114 lobe EX.The Headswap is more than just better head flow its a combo of well engineered parts:HEADS/CAMS/AND INTAKE.I know someone that put a SVO intake on a 96 with stock heads got 12rwhp then put LTs and got after tuning a total of 38 more rwhp and 30ish rwtq for a total of 227rwhp and 284rwtq and that is with untouched 98 heads.The worst thing on the older cars is the EX flow from the heads,then the intake design,then the cams,then the IN flow numbers.You can get about 8-10rwhp just changing the cams to PI cams .
OH by the way have not seen you in awhile last time I saw you,you were at that Gator restuarant on SR60 around a yr or so.A club meeting.I have a SILVER 98GT that now has the headswap and still have the nos.Last we spoke you just had pulled a 12.99@106...and had your dyno sheet and timeslip shown for all to read.
I pushin 271 at the wheels now with a low 9.25 comp. so the PI swap is good if you port them but you can make power from the old heads but for the money the swap is the best/cheapest thing out there.

My 5.Old has 136k and has never had any problems with the motor, no burnt or loss of oil. The only problems ever encountered on my foxbody were p/s problem, rack & pinion, tranny and radiator. You can call them ancient but most people I know with 5.0's have 100k+ with no engine problems, only there crappy driveline!!! (in my expiriences)

Joel I'm not trying to come across rude or sarcastic. Sorry if I did. I just saying alot of 2v guys are going w/ the head swap. That's all. Ya I remember you at Gatorz. Haven't seen u at the track lately. My car has changed alittle(new rear end) since the last time I talked to u at Gatorz. The car went 12.88 at 109.15 on Firestones. Then swapped the rear and tried slicks. Hope to seeya at the track sometime. -Mark

I mostly go to Sunshine now its 1/8 but its cool alot more fast cars.Brandenton has alot more street cars,Sunshine has alot of fast race cars a little more fun to watch.What rearend do you have now,mine is on its last leg (clutches going)Im going to do something to it real soon.
Maybe if I can get to the Dyno day Ill dyno the juice than run it again at BMP.They took my Fri. night TNT I have religious meetings on thurs.
Sat. just doesnt seem to work for me so BMP hasnt had me for awhile.
