You don't sound like a guy who buys many used parts to begin with. Theres a certain amount of 'going out on a limb' when buying anything used. Parts or entire cars.

 

yea.. when you start a car that is built like this you can tell wheather its stock internals or not..lol i dont hink this would be the issue at all just is a bad time for selling shit.. i would pay 7k for this car... very nice car man....

HAHA yeah, you caught me there. I build air cooled VW's now. They haven't sold one new in this country since 1980. I know nothing about buying and selling used parts.

 

You can hear the difference between stock internals and forged internals? You must be very observant.

Oh and yeah, he's not selling the whole car. I guess you aren't that observant.

Years ago I bought a coupe off of TR. The guy said it had a 347 in it. He even had a receipt. But the receipt just had "347 race motor" written on it. That doesn't mean that motor is in this car. I bought the car because for the price, it was still a good deal even if it was a stock motor (it didn't run). Many people (all of the smart ones) will do the same. They won't just trust the guy selling it to list all of the parts, they will want to see it themselves.

I buy and sell used parts all the time, but I won't buy internal engine parts from a swap meet because I can't easily verify crank journal diameter, stroke, bore size, etc. I know alot of people who feel the same way.

^ Same shit as mine, except stroked and zero balanced instead of 28oz imbalance. Well, and my carb isn't included. And my shit is brand new. Just goes to show, people will try to call you out on anything.

First, that one hasn't sold yet either. Second, you obviously don't get my point, or just refuse to because it scares you to think how much you may actually get for that stuff.

I'm not saying you won't get $7k, hell, you could have someone give you $8k because of your disability I'm just saying that me, and most people I know, will want visual proof of the parts in the motor rather than just taking the word of some guy from the internet and a piece of paper.
