Its not just whether the cost of the parts and machine work add up to $7k, its whether you can find someone willing to take the risk that all of those parts were machined and assembled correctly. Plus, they will have to tear down the motor to verify it doesn't have stock internals (or worse, no pistons or rods at all).

It would sorta defeat the purpose of this bad motherfucker being built and assembled by the best of the best 'round these parts if they went in tearing it apart in their backyards.

Thats the one thing I'm not concerned about - I have godd feedback on the corral. They could drop the pan and peer into the motor if they really wanted to, but my word is good over there still.

So a guy is supposed to drop $7k to someone he doesn't know for shit (its advertised on a national forum) and just trust the guy that it has the parts that were mentioned and its all done correctly? Sorry, I live in the real world.

Also, once the motor has been built by the "best of the best 'round these parts" tearing it apart for inspection and re-assembly (if done correctly) won't hurt performance.

I was tearing down and re-assembling 665 ci Sonny Leonard motors when I was 19 years old. If you build it right the first time, rings and bearings aren't a big deal.

Didn't BadLatitude have a badass short block listed on here for like 5k? You have a complete setup, seem's like 7k is in the right ballpark.

And Nick, you know better than to say the C word over here Lol
