I used the old school SVO master cyl (1 1/8" bore) with the stock 88 5.0 booster. It has a stiff ass pedal, but I like the feedback and it stops like a bitch!

Where are you located?

Let me know how this goes.

Good luck!

Location = Lakeland which is the LL in LLFordMan

My current MC has 1 1/16th bore. I thought of going to the 95 Cobra as it has the 15/16ths bore for less pedal effort. But does less pedal effort equal more brake pressure when you stand on it? Hmmm.

Yeah no traction through second when simply rolling into the throttle not even jammin on it. Need better tires. This car is setup more for handling though so it doesn't weight transfer much which is part of the wheel spin.

I extended the rod in the booster two turns tonight and that made no difference. I also took the rotors off and scuffed off the little bit of glaze on them so the pads could seat themselves better and that seemed to help a little bit. Didn't have much time for testing though as it got dark real quick after reassembly.

When I ordered my Strange M/C they asked if I was running rear disk...smaller bore for drum rear bigger... bore for rear disc.

Do you remember which part number you ended up with?

The Strange dual inline master cylinder is ideal for sportsman classes requiring four wheel braking. Assuming the rear wheels are
equipped with 4-piston calipers ; the 1.032” bore master cylinder should be used if 2-piston or single piston calipers are used for the front two wheels. The 1.125” bore master cylinder will allow optimum volume and pressure for vehicles using 4-piston calipers for the front two wheels."

The one in the picture on their website looks like the Dodge/Jeep unit I have heard of.
1.032" or a bit smaller than the 1 1/16th unit I have is for 2-piston or single piston front calipers.

I took the car out for another run around the block this am and it stops decent. I would just like the pedal to be a bit higher when it does grab.
Bottom line seems to be that the fronts aren't hauling the car down as much as I think they should. Even with the manual prop valve turning the rears down all the way I can still lock the rears up.
I HAVE YET TO LOCK THE FRONTS..........Once the rears lock I have to let off otherwise the ass end wants to spin around. (which may be exciting at least for a moment!)

I completely did away with the porp valve by the MC. Used a Maximun Motorsport fitting kit. I only have the Wilwood one by the passenger hood hinge.
