Brake system air issue
94 front calipers.
96 V6 Master Cylinder (reman)
91 Mark 7 rear discs.
I spent about three hours tonight bleeding the brakes, first with a vacuum bleeder, then with another person pumping up the pedal, then re-bled the master and back around once more and still the pedal is soft.
What the heck?
My current guess is the reman master cylinder from Advance is a POS or one or more of the brake hoses is collapsed.
Thoughts?
Edit: I am in the process of replacing the rear caliper hoses as soon as I finish typing this. I suspected at least one of them as it would not gravity bleed at all.
Another thought is maybe air trapped in the Hurst Roll-Control Solenoid. Heading back out there......

On Biggun's car, he had an issue with the "cap" that screws into the end of the proportioning valve that holds all the gut in there. That cap has a chicken chit little pop in rubber nipple seal thingy that was letting air in the system. We could bleed his and then in a few hours it wouldnt have a pedal again. Changed prop valve solved problem.
yea did you bench bleed the master first?

Yes he did..we got new rear lines made going to each wheel and will update after the install..We think the problem maybe with air trapped in the roll control or perhaps the reman master or perhaps the porportioning valve..

After installing the new rear caliper hoses, no difference was noticed. Not much of a surprise. The bigger surprise came when I road tested and the rear brakes locked up hard with moderate brake force applied. Leads me more towards the prop valve sticking or just plain stuck. The prop valve is from a 96 car as is the master so it should work normally with the rear discs.
On the line-lock, originally I had one of the front ports of the prop valve blocked and the other feeding into the line-loc leaving one "inlet" port on the line-lock plugged. Then each of the front lines were fed from the outlets on the line-lock.
I have since added a small line from the second front port on the prop valve to the other inlet port on the line-lock in hopes that this would keep anything from being "blocked." (for lack of a better way to put it)
I haven't road tested it yet but the pedal doesn't feel any better. It has turned into a monsoon outside so no further road testing will be possible this evening.
