Is it possible to yank the motor up enough (without disconnecting the trans) to slide the oil pan out from underneath?

Not For Nothing But Twice Over The Years Ive Come Across The Little Metal Anti Crush Washers In The V Cover Gaskets Find There Way Into The Oil Pump And Locked It Up Twisting The Oil Pump Shaft Just A Thought

Damn... that blows. Well I know my VC gaskets don't have the anti crush "rings" in them.
If I can remove the pan without removing the motor completely off the tranny and out of the bay I won't hesistate to swap in a new OP.

I would try to turn it be hand first. I had afeeling form the start you may had dropped the shaft or something. You could drop the kmember and suspension to get access to the oil pan.

I might be able to swing by and lend you a hand if I don't go into work tomorrow.
Do you have an engine hoist? It'd be alot easier to crank the motor up instead of dropping the suspension and K-member.
