Default stroker advice...

ok.most of you regulars know I bought the 351w Dan had for sale. It has a stock crank.with cast .040 pistons in it. I want to stroke it....I will sell the rods/pistons/crank and and bearings and use some of the proceeds towards a new stroker kit.....who's got the best deal for the price?? is this block a do-able block? do I need to notch out anything?? how about rollerizing it at the same time??? I plan to buy a kit within the next 2 weeks.....somebody buy the stock .040 chit from me mang.....

JE or CP pistons, Scat or Motorsport crank, Scat, Motorsport, or Manley rods, and a good ring package. The rings will depend on what you want to do with the motor, just do not skimp on them it is not the place to try and save a few bucks. I would recommend Calico bearings, someone told me they are real good. Calico Coatings

You should not have to notch the block unless you are looking to make some weird or big stroker out of it. This part I am not 100% sure on since I have never dove into the 351 blocks or stroker pieces.
very cool.the kit prices look very attractive.but there is always that one item you want to be better...I'm going to call around Monday..........thanks

CHP made the 393 stroker kit that was in my DSS Block, Forged Probe pistons, H beam rods, and a forged crank. You can upgrade on the crank and rods. Pat, ask for Bruce when you call in. He knows his shit.
