here is the price on parts I got from them.great customer service with live chat online...
408 forged steel crank, 4340 Forged I beam with 8740 ARP capscrew bolts, Probe SRS 2618 alloy forged pistons, Clevite77 main bearings, clevite77 rod bearings, moly ring package, 1499.00 delivered to your front door. The 393 is 25-30 bucks less, makes no sense to go that route, personally.

Your right...no need to lose displacement when its just a lil bit extra for the 408.
