Update.....what exactly will the air and fuel adjusters do to the carb?? splain to me...I have the both set at about 1.5 open...where should I keep them at?? when should they be adjusted???

that only changes the idle and just barely off idle, mine are about 1/2 turn out. sometimes when they're too far out you have to compensate by opening the throttle plates. my carb is completely closed at idle and just uses the idle circuit.
