+1, especially cam... specs could give a lot of us a pretty good idea on where your making your power.

Ok I have edlebrock heads, cobra intake, 65mm throttle body, 76mm mass air, 24 lbs. injectors, and a custom grind cam, pulleys, LT's, H-pipe, FM's, all on a 306 bottom end. Not sure on the grind and I know that means it could be set up to make the power any where. All I know is it doesnt cam real ruff but you can tell it has a cam. Previous owner had the motor built and I never got the spec card on the cam.

So should I dyno first to see what gear would work best?

Without a doubt, making a couple baseline pulls at fordspeed or racerelated shouldn't cost more than $50-75.

yep... with what you have, i would say 320ish... if you have the $$, then dyno it, get the gears, then back to the dyno for a custom chip

Wow, I guess my 4.56's are way too much for my daily driver.

With an S/N-95 I wouldn't go any lower then 4.10's with a manual. I had them in my '94 and it did just fine. If you're worried about gas milage, buy a Honda.
