Well guys its me again with more stupid questions..... or question...lol...... well basically i was talking to someone on a thread and they told me that s14 was better cause the s15's tranny is messed up or something. Something about 6 gears in place that 5 would be which means weaker gears or something. I have no clue whats going on. Like i said im pretty new to this and im still learning. Any info would be highly helpful... and another question if you had the money would u do the s15 swap or s14 swap? thanks guys and gals

 

well, that is just an old myth. the s15 tranny is nowhere near similar in any way to the s14 tranny or s13 tranny for that matter in any other way than the fact that it bolts to a rwd sr20det.

it is not 6 gears crammed in a space for 5, it is just another transmission made by nissan that is weak. the 5 speeds break just as often!

 

so if you had the money which one would you go with?

 

neither. i'd buy a beat up s13 case and put a giken gearset in it

 

ummm.... why so?.... like i said im pretty new to this and im trying to learn as much as possible..... i thought the s14/s15 would be a hell of alot better
